Alpha Bravura 2024 – Project Day at Alpha CBSE School

On 26th October 2024, Alpha School,Porur celebrated Project Day, Alpha Bravura 2024, an extraordinary event highlighting the spirit of curiosity, creativity, and scientific innovation. The event was a grand success, reflecting the dedication and tireless efforts of our talented students and committed faculty members. The program commenced with a heartfelt welcome address, emphasizing the joy of scientific discovery and the significance of practical learning experiences. The highlight of the day was the gracious presence of our esteemed Chief Guest, Dr.Luke Elizabeth Hanna, Scientist ‘F’ and Head of the Department Virology and Biotechnology at the NIRT-ICMR. Dr. Hanna, whose groundbreaking contributions to immunology and virology have earned her international acclaim, captivated the audience with her words of wisdom. She shared her experiences and underscored the importance of perseverance and passion in scientific research, inspiring young minds to dream big and aim high. Her interaction with the students was particularly memorable, as she patiently explored the exhibits and engaged with the young scientists, offering encouragement and invaluable insights. The exhibition featured a wide array of innovative projects that addressed real-world challenges and provided a deeper understanding of scientific concepts. Students presented their work with great enthusiasm, demonstrating an impressive grasp of their subjects. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as parents, teachers, and guests eagerly moved from one exhibit to the next, marvelling at the creativity and ingenuity on display. Parents actively participated, expressing admiration for the students’ hard work and innovative thinking. KG Brown Day Celebration

Brown is the color of earth and warmth — a reminder of nature, comfort, and sweet delights!” Alpha School, Porur celebrated Brown Day on 9th July 2025 with loads of joy and creativity. Our tiny tots came dressed in lovely shades of brown, carrying cute brown object cutouts, all set to explore the color of the day. From making yummy bread brownies to crafting adorable teddy bear faces, the day was packed with hands-on fun and learning. Brown Day was a cozy celebration of creativity, flavour, and imagination!

KG Christmas celebration.-2024-25

It is the most wonderful time of the year! Our KG students decked the halls with boughs of holly, sang Christmas carols, and enjoyed a magical day filled with friendship, fun and festive spirit.” A special visit from Santa, made students filled with laughter, joy and holiday magic.” The spirit of Christmas was alive and well in our KG classroom! Our young learners enjoyed a fun-filled day of Christmas -themed activities, crafts, games and memorable time of celebration. Cool creation from our little artists LKG made paper plate snowman activity was a hit with our young learners. They decorated their snowman with creativity and enthusiasm,making each one unique and special. Sticking with the holiday spirit! Our little UKG-A elves created adorable Santa Claus artwork using cotton balls to spread the Christmas tradition. Little hands, big creativity! Our palm print of UKG-B made Christmas trees are the perfect way to get into the spirit of Christmas joy.

Yellow Day 2025-26

Yellow Day Vibes at Alpha School, Porur! Our little ones lit up the day in bright yellow outfits, confidently speaking about sunny things like bananas, sunflowers, and the sun! UKG made cute mangoes with cotton dabbing, LKG crafted ducks using palm prints. A day full of color, creativity, and cheerful smiles! 💛

KG Purple day 2024-25

Kindergarten Kids Celebrate Purple Day with a Creative Flair! We read “Kindness is Cooler, Mrs. Ruler” by Margery Cuyler emphasizing the importance of kindness, empathy, and inclusion. Our kindergarten children celebrated ‘Purple Day’ with great zest spreading kindness and joy as the LKG students enjoyed doing purple-themed brinjal collages that developed their fine motor skills .The UKG students marked the ‘Purple Day’ with an engaging and artistic activity using purple balloons, paint, and paper, they created stunning grape prints. These fun and interactive activities fostered a supportive learning environment.

Investiture ceremony 2025-26

A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way.” – John C. Maxwell With pride and purpose, Alpha School, Porur, hosted its Investiture Ceremony on 28th June 2025, marking the official induction of the student council for the academic year 2025–26. The event began with the solemn oath-taking of the Head Boy and Head Girl, followed by the investiture of the House Captains, Vice-Captains, Sports Captain, Cultural Secretary, and Class Leaders. Each badge presented symbolized trust, service, and responsibility. Gracing the occasion as Chief Guest, Dr. Pastor Jesudoss Jeyapaul—an esteemed educator, career consultant, and language trainer—delivered an inspiring address that urged the young leaders to lead with humility, vision, and courage. In her address, Mrs. Shynu John, the school’s Principal, congratulated the new council and encouraged them to lead by example, reminding them that leadership is earned through action and character. The ceremony stood as a testament to Alpha School’s unwavering commitment to shaping future-ready, value-driven leaders.

KG -Pink day celebration 2024

The Colour Pink symbolizes universal love for oneself and others. To introduce our little ones to this beautiful hue, Pink Day was organized at Alpha School, Porur. Our little stars from LKG and UKG turned the school into a pink paradise during this much-awaited celebration! The talented butterflies of UKG-A showcased their creativity with origami butterflies, symbolizing transformation and grace, while the shining stars of UKG-B crafted delightful origami boats, sparking imagination and joy. Meanwhile, the cutie pies of LKG-A explored their artistic side with polythene cover dabbing, creating vibrant, textured flowers. The day was brimming with creativity, learning, and the joy of pink, making it a truly memorable celebration of teamwork and imagination!

Field Trip- Grade XI & XII

On 3rd September 2024, the Grade XI and XII students of Alpha School embarked on an educational field trip to the Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR), Kalpakkam. This trip was designed to provide the students with hands-on experience in scientific research and atomic energy, offering insights into cutting-edge technology and research that align with their curriculum. The trip began with a welcome address from the IGCAR scientific team, who introduced the students to the history, significance and advancements in atomic energy research at IGCAR. Following this, students were given a guided tour through various sections of the research facility including: Fast Breeder Test Reactor, Radiation and Safety Labs, Materials Science Division and IGCAR Library. The visit ended with the quiz conducted by IGCAR library as a part of DAE Silver Jubilee, fostering knowledge and enthusiasm in the fields of science and technology among students. The competition concluded with the awarding of cash prizes to top-performing students, recognizing their excellence and encouraging further learning. The field trip to IGCAR was an enriching and educational experience for the Grade XI and XII students. It not only complemented their academic knowledge but also exposed them to real-world applications of science and technology.

WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY – 2025 CELEBRATION

The students of Grade III to XII took part in an impressive series of programs to celebrate the World Environment Day. Through captivating presentations, engaging performances, and insightful displays, they emphasized the dangerous effects of pollution and the escalating threats resulting from environmental neglect. The session proved to be a real eye opener, shedding light on some of the most critical environmental issues we currently face. Kudos to our students, for their commitment and enthusiasm in raising environmental awareness. Their voices and actions today served as a powerful reminder that change starts with us.

Field Trip Grade IX & X

The students of Class 9 and 10 from Alpha CBSE School, Porur, recently visited the India Seashell Museum in Mahabalipuram, accompanied by staff members. The visit provided a deep insight into the wonders of marine life and human interaction with the sea. As Asia’s largest seashell museum, this section mesmerized the students with over 40,000 specimens of rare and unique seashells. They gained a deeper understanding of conchology, exploring the breathtaking beauty of seashells from around the globe. The intricate detailing, variety, and rich cultural significance of seashells broadened the students’ appreciation for marine life and nature’s artistry.The students were excited to see the aquarium, where they came into contact with a diversity of freshwater and marine species. In their excitement, they held live starfish and lobsters-most of them for the first time-ever. The numerous varieties of colourful, exotic fishes of the aquarium provided the students with an interactive and first-hand knowledge of marine ecosystems. It turned out to be a highlight of their visit that aroused their interest in marine biology. The students also saw the procedure of pearl farming at the Pearl Museum and realized how pearls are developed inside the seashells. They were amazed to see the variety of pearls from all the corners of the earth and with the bright shine and colourful features. The students were impressed by the minute details on how various species of pearls are farmed and collected. The 3D Art Gallery was also a place the students enjoyed, with many creative displays of animals and other creatures seemingly springing to life. The Horror Museum brought an experience much nearer, exciting and giving chills to its student visitors. The very haunting exhibits relating famous horror stories, most of which the students had read earlier, enabled them to walk through the very eeriness that would heighten the suspense The Dinosaur Museum transported them back millions of years as they toured the wondrous pre-historic reptiles. The students were amazed by such life-sized displays, thus making their reading about dinosaurs quite unforgettable. Thus, the India Seashell Museum visit was full of rich interdisciplinary experiences for the students. Every section sparked their curiosities, and that’s how they learned to better perceive the world. The visit left the students with wonder and deeper appreciation of knowledge in natural and historical things
